1569 Barrington Street.
Built in 1889, FireWorks Gallery’s home has seen the Barrington streetscape for over 100 years of Downtown Halifax. Our building has lived through The Halifax Explosion, a top floor fire, as well as many renovations and changes in the last 50 years.
Cross the street, look up and you’ll see ornate ironwork, a shining diamond and lotus flowers on our roof designed by owner, Judy and created with a local blacksmith.
Come inside and immediately feel the eclectic mix of Victorian and Art Deco design, the warmth from the natural and original wood display cases, a few creaks in the floor, and sun shining through the glasswork windows, maybe lucking out in the afternoon as they cast little rainbows all around the shop.
